Album Cover and the Horizon of the EP.... The summer is starting and it is nice outside!!! Focusing on a few exciting things before the new EP is released. The first thing is to finish designing the album art work... and when I say that, I kind of mean start. I have been meeting with all sorts of talented photographers for this big leap into the creative unknown and soon I will be shooting with Matt Shapira which I am really excited about. Can't wait to share the stills with you when we do our photo shoot in the upcoming week or two. This very well may be a segway into another music video for this EP release.... and can you guess for which song??? =) . . . Elderberries.... Elderberries is a vegan cafe located on Sunset Blvd near fairfax (Sierra Bonita) owned by a beautiful woman named Dottie. Her huge heart works to support children in the foster care system and assists the homeless and those suffering with Mental Illness. About 8 months ago she opened up this dream vegan / raw cafe which specializes in serving juices, smoothies, iced tea lattes, inteligencia coffee, and a variety of vegan dishes. She has brought me in to help design parts of the menu and it is very exciting creative outlet for me. In addition starting this coming July I will be hosting a Music on Wednesday there from 7-10pm featuring some of the finest songwriters performing 'In Raw Form'. Justine Bennett, Liz Clark, Jamie Drake, B Willing, and Scott Mellis to name a few. Come by on a Wed and check out who is there!!!

I am so excited to share that Brad Smith (Blind Melon) joins team to produce my new songs. We are working on 6 songs and the musicians who are playing on this album musicians I greatly respect. Jimmy Paxson (drums), Chris Chaney (bass), Kevin Haaland (guitar), Ben Peeler (lap steel), Zac Rae (organ, synths), Eric Boulanger (violin), Andy Kubiszewski (string arrangements), and Brendan Willing James (harmonies). I have even heard that Doug Sax at the mastering lab may be mastering this with Eric Boulanger!! WHOOHOO

SEPTEMBER 2009

This month I am working in the studio recording some of my new songs with Eric Boulanger.
The rhythm section on this batch of tunes is Chris Chaney on bass and Jimmy Paxson on drums and I am excited.
